The core mission of bushings is to reduce friction and wear resistance. In some situations where precise guidance is required for linear motion, such as the piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder or the slide rail of a machine tool, bushings (often referred to as "guide sleeves") can ensure that the moving parts move accurately along a predetermined trajectory, avoiding jamming and deviation.
