Material characteristics:
good plasticity and appropriate strength, good machinability, weldability is acceptable (when carbon content in the upper limit, poor weldability), cold deformation plasticity is high, can be in cold state wire and local upsetting, sheet can be cold stamping, steel hardenability is low, critical quench diameter in water is generally 10-23mm.
When the section size is greater than 50mm, the mechanical properties of tempering and normalizing state are similar, so normalizing treatment is often used as the final treatment for parts with larger section size. When the comprehensive mechanical properties are not high, it can also be used in the hot rolling state, generally not suitable for welding parts.
